Tutorial Steps
Step 1
Welcome to this new TIA Connect tutorial. This tutorial will show you how to start TIA-Connect in headless mode.
Step 2
When the application starts, it determines if a graphical interface is available. If no graphical interface is detected and no action is performed, the application launches automatically in headless mode (without the TIA Portal interface).
Step 3
This is specific to the TIA Portal of Siemens, which allows launching an instance of TIA Portal in the background without a graphical user interface.
Step 4
After a few seconds, an alert message appears indicating that T.I.A. Portal has started and the T-IA Connect application has requested authorization to connect to T.I.A. Portal in headless mode.
Step 5
You have the option to validate the authorization for the current request by clicking on Yes. You can also choose to always authorize this application by clicking on the button Yes to all, which will make this authorization valid for all future launches.
Step 6
Once validated, the application automatically launches the TIA Portal graphical interface.
Step 7
You are now connected to the TIA Portal graphical interface and the TIA Portal interface is connected to its TIA Portal instance in headless mode.
